Rowan celebrates progress on New Jersey's first vet school and a new research center

At yet another milestone in its continuing expansion, Rowan University welcomed partners and friends to its West Campus Sept. 9 to celebrate by signing the last beam to be placed in the structure designed to house Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine and Virtua Health College Research Center.

The standing-room-only crowd gathered for greetings and thanks from speakers thrilled at progress on what will be a stunning new hub for health education and innovation. In its expansive two-story wing and shared five-story tower, students and employees will be part of the next phase of Rowan’s development as a top 100 university and the nation’s third fastest-growing public research institution.

Situated at the intersection of Rt. 55 and Rt. 322, the landmark 162,016 sq. ft. building will be University's largest academic facility on all of its eight campuses, visible along the busy corridors at the edge of Rowan's West Campus tract. Erdy McHenry Architecture designed the structure. LF Driscoll is the general contractor.
