This year, Rowan University received more applications than ever…20,474 to be exact.
Altogether, more than 2,700 first-year students will begin their studies this fall at Rowan.
When classes kick off Sept. 6, new students will be extraordinarily prepared to jump right in, thanks to a robust Orientation schedule held throughout the summer.
Rowan’s Office of Orientation & Student Leadership Programs (OSLP) presented a dozen Orientation sessions—eight for first-year students, four for transfers—in June and July.
During Orientation, students involved in the PROS (Peer Referral and Orientation Staff) helped new Profs and their loved ones learn the ins and outs of studying—and thriving—at Rowan.
They met professional staffers who detailed numerous services and programs available to students and heard words of wisdom from University administrators.
They also learned about themselves and each other through ice breakers, activities and special breakout sessions focusing on residential learning and university housing, student involvement and academics.
With Orientation complete, the next step for new students will be Welcome Week, a jam-packed schedule of events the first week in September designed to help first-year Profs settle in and become engaged with campus activities, organizations, and services.
