Farewell to a historic year, with 100th flair

Sunshine, friends, free lunch and fun made for a perfect June afternoon at Robinson Green for our last big Centennial celebration. Nearly 750 turned out for the festivities sponsored by Chamberlain Student Center & Campus Activities and the University-wide Centennial Celebration Committee.

Centennial Celebration honorees Bill Carrigan, Anthony Jimenez, Dan Murphy and Sara Wright.

Four Centennial Celebration standouts—three employees and a student—received once-in-a-century awards for their extraordinary efforts throughout the big year. The name of each award bears a tie to history, emphasizing a legacy of excellence rooted at Rowan:

Harold F. Wilson Centennial Ambassador Award: Bill Carrigan, History
Donald Bagin Professional Legacy Award: Dan Murphy M’97, University Publications
John B. Sangree Stewardship Award: Sara Wright, Biology & Biological Sciences
236 Heart of Brown & Gold Award: Anthony Jimenez, Class of 2024
